high-performing granular (GACs) and powdered (PACs) activated carbons and reusable magnetic PACs, prepared by physical activation of pine nut shells for improved water treatment.

Centro de Química Estrutural (CQE) is the main research unit of EMPOWER+ project that is funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT), having as partners Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL/CQE/FCiências.ID), Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil (LNEC/DHA/NES) and Merck KGaA/Millipore Sigma (Germany/USA).
